Google to rule the earth : Sooner than you think. Resistance is futile. The Machine will prevail over humankind. I just hope the Machine will respect the nature and all living things more than we do. ( How dark does that sound? )
Relevance at Google, Yahoo and Microsoft : I wonder why people still use Yahoo! and Microsoft's search offerings. I honestly do.
Beyond JPEG : Time to move on. JPEG 2000 and PNG should replace JPEG and GIF, respectively.
The myth of RSS compatibility : It sucks when you are working on a parser that can handle all those, including slight - or not so slight - diversions from whatever semantics each of those versions governs. That's without even taking ATOM into account. I wish people would stop coming up with new standards and formats when there is no actual problem that those efforts would help solving.
